How do I sign up for camp?

Go to the “camps” tab and click on register here then follow the instructions and fill out all the required information.

What should I bring to camp?

It depends on the camp that the player is attending. For the college prep camps players need to bring shin guards, soccer specific clothing, cleats, and their medical insurance/waiver form. For the day camps players will need to bring a ball, shin guards, cleats, soccer specific clothing, a lunch or money for pizza, swim trunks, and the appropriate medical forms. Water will be provided for all Butler boys’ soccer camps.

Where is the pickup and drop off location?

Early Drop Off & Aftercare

In an effort to aid working parents, we offer our before and after-care option. You may drop your child off as early as 8am free of charge. You may also leave your child after camp for up to 2 hours (5pm); at a rate of $10/hour. Normal pick-up is no later than 3:15pm. Pick-up after 3:30pm will be inside of Hinkle Fieldhouse (through Gate 1).

What do I do if there is bad weather?

If there is inclement weather players will go inside Jordan Hall to watch soccer
highlights or soccer related tapes. Hinkle Fieldhouse will also be utilized. The camp staff will be present to supervise at all times.

What kind of curriculum is used?

The Curriculum has been built around the Rene Meulensteen proven and hugely successfully “Moves & Skills” methodology that was implemented at Manchester United’s Youth Academy. We want to develop confident, creative and skillful players. The ultimate objective of the camp is to create a fun, safe, encouraging environment that inspires all the players to succeed!

What is the price structure like?

Elite Day Camp: $275 (includes Technical Championship Entrance Fee)

Full Day Camp: $275 (includes Technical Championship Entrance Fee)

Half Day Camp: $160

Striker-Defender: $275

Summer College Prep Camp: $290

What is the difference between elite and full day camp?

Elite Camper is a player who has had previous competitive youth club playing experience and who wishes to train in a more competitive environment; focusing on more specific technical and tactical topics.

Full Day Camper is a player who either has a recreationally background or a youth club background but wants to practice and compete in a less competitive environment. The full day campers will still be exposed to many of the same technical exercises as the elite camper. They will also participate in a lot of fun and challenging small games activities.

Is a Goal Keeper camp offered?

For our Summer Day Camps, Goalkeepers will have specialized training for an hour each morning, and then will be incorporated into their groups for both field player training, and then Goalkeeping within their group. There will also be specialized Goalkeeper training for the entirety of our Striker Defender GK Camp.

What is the refund policy?

Day Camp 1 & 2
  • Any Full Day or Elite Campers unable to attend will be refunded in full, minus a $75 administrative fee.
  • Any Half Day Campers unable to attend will be refunded in full, minus a $50 administrative fee.

Striker Defender GK Camp

  • Any Camper unable to attend will be refunded in full, minus a $75 administrative fee.

Summer College Prep Camps

  • Any Camper unable to attend Prior to 7 days before the start of camp, will be refunded in full, minus a $75 administrative fee.
  • Any Camper unable to attend within the 7 days before the start of camp, will be refunded in full, minus a $90 administrative fee.
     

Will Butler University men’s soccer gear be available for purchase at camp?

A camp store will be setup throughout the week at all summer camps where Butler University men’s soccer NIKE apparel will be available for purchase.

Are evaluations provided for campers?

Player evaluations are only provided at the College Prep Camp. The coaching staff will give each player at the College Prep Camp a personalized evaluation that covers all aspects of players’ abilities.

What items does a camper receive at camp?

Campers are given 2 camp shirts along with the chance to receive a medal for
various games and skills challenges. Camp balls will be for sale for $30 in case a camper forgets his or wants to purchase one.

Is lunch provided at camp?

Lunch is not provided at the day camps but there will be a camp food store that will sell pizza, Gatorade, chips, candy, and snow cones.
